Vertical Montaña Blanca 2026

What it is and why run it

The Vertical Montaña Blanca celebrates its 14th edition on Saturday, May 24, 2026. It's a pure vertical race: direct ascent to the crater of Montaña Blanca volcano, one of Lanzarote's most emblematic.

If you're looking for an extreme vertical challenge with unique volcanic landscapes, this is your race.

Day's schedule (provisional 2026)

• Registration: prior or same day.
• Start: Saturday, May 24, 2026.
• Finish and post-race services.

When the organizer publishes the 2026 regulations, we'll confirm exact time.

Course and terrain

• Distance: to be confirmed (approx. 4-6 km).
• Elevation gain: pronounced.
• Surface: volcanic trail, picón, loose rock.
• Profile: constant and demanding climb.

Recommended gear

• Trail shoes with grip.
• Poles (optional).
