La Vertical Montaña Blanca Return the May 25, 2025 to celebrate your 13th edition as one of the most authentic and popular trail running events in Lanzarote. This event, organized by the San Bartolomé City Council and the Lanzarote Hiking team, has become a reference for mountain and nature lovers, bringing together hundreds of runners, hikers and families every year in the volcanic heart of the island.

White Mountain isn't just a place: it's a physical and emotional challenge. The race proposes an ascent between volcanic stone slopes, steep ravines and panoramic views that connect the effort with the landscape. Here, every step matters and every kilometer has a story.

Modalities for all levels

The event adapts to different participant profiles with a traditional distance system:

• La Fanega — 21 km: A demanding route with technical sections, areas of positive slope and rapid descents. Only suitable for trained trailrunners looking to measure forces in an uncompromising natural environment.
• The Almud — 11 km: The most popular modality. Enough to test your endurance, but with a balanced route for those who are starting out or looking to enjoy the environment with moderate intensity.
• El Cuartillo — 6 km: Ideal for beginners or those who want a more accessible experience without giving up the thrill of the event.
• Hiking route: For those who prefer to walk and enjoy the route at their own pace, with the same landscapes and the same spirit.
• Children's races: A circuit adapted for children, encouraging sport from the ground up in a safe and festive environment.

An environment that speaks of Lanzarote

The route crosses one of the most iconic landscapes in the center of the island: petrified lava fields, agricultural trails and mountain areas with views of the Los Volcanes Natural Park. The signage is impeccable and the organization is reinforced with volunteers, supplies and security measures at key points.

Beyond the route, the Vertical White Mountain stands out for its community environment. The town square becomes the heart of the event, with music, food area, physiotherapy tents and parallel activities. It is a sporting event, but also a social and cultural one.
