Playa Blanca Music Run Night
Night race in Playa Blanca over a mile, 5 and 10 km, starting and finishing at the Plaza del Carmen. It closes the Music Run Night Series season.
Event information
About the race
The Playa Blanca Music Run Night is run after dark on Saturday 28 November 2026, starting and finishing at the Plaza del Carmen in Playa Blanca. It is the last of the five venues in the Canary Islands Music Run Night Series, the night-race series put on by Summits Sports Events.
Three distances, staggered starts
- The mile, 1.6 km: starts at 21:00.
- 5 km: starts at 21:25.
- 10 km: starts at 21:30.
There is also a free Diverse category for people with certified disability, with 20 places inside the overall cap. The race is capped at 500 runners.
Prices: the organiser’s website and the platform disagree
Where the money is taken, on RockTheSport, the prices are 15 euros for the mile, 17 for 5 km and 19 for 10 km, plus platform fees. It is also what the official 2026 rules say: «Milla 15 euros; 5 km 17 euros; 10 km 19 euros».
The organiser’s own event page lists three different figures: 12 euros for the mile, 14 for 5 km and 16 for 10 km. Three euros less on every distance. Two of the three sources agree, and one of them is where you pay, yet the website is still advertising the lower figure, checked on 2 October 2026. Worth looking at the amount before you confirm.
Entries close at a very odd time
The rules only give the day: «El periodo de inscripción finalizará el 25 de noviembre de 2026, salvo que antes se complete el cupo máximo de 500 plazas», the entry period ends on 25 November 2026 unless the cap of 500 places fills first.
The platform pins down the time, and it is not midnight. RockTheSport publishes the window like this: «Del 07/09/2026 a las 15:00 al 25/11/2026 a las 23:06». 23:06 on the 25th, with its six minutes. It is such an odd time that it looks like a configuration slip, and that is exactly why it is worth saying: leave your entry to the last stretch of that evening and you can find the form shut almost an hour earlier than you expected. The cap can close it sooner anyway.
A warning about the course
There is no published description of the 2026 route beyond the start and finish. And the route files hanging off the organiser’s page are not from this race: they are named «Haría Music Run» and their coordinates fall in Haría, at the other end of the island. They are recycled from another race in the series. No cut-off times are published either.
Bibs, on the Friday and in Puerto Calero
Friday 27 November, at the Sports Club Puerto Calero, from 10:00 to 13:00 and 17:00 to 20:00, with ID. In 2025 there was also a collection on the Saturday itself at the Plaza del Carmen; for 2026 that second window is not announced.
What is included
A finisher’s medal «conforme a la disponibilidad prevista», in line with the availability planned, and a commemorative shirt and gifts «sujetos a disponibilidad y al orden de inscripción», subject to availability and the order in which people entered. There are medical services, aid stations and a bag drop once one is set up. The first three men and the first three women in each category are awarded.
The series standings
All the 2026 rules say about the Series classification is this: «Para figurar en la clasificación final de las Series será necesario participar en al menos tres pruebas. Si se participa en cuatro, computarán los tres mejores resultados», that you have to run at least three races to appear in the final standings, and that if you run four, the best three results count.
Nothing more. Neither the 2026 rules nor the organiser’s event page give this race any tie-breaking role in the overall standings, nor do they publish prize money for the series, checked on 2 October 2026. We had published both and have withdrawn them: we have found no 2026 source that holds them up. If the organisation publishes the Series terms, this is where it gets updated.
The 2025 edition has no classification we can point to
Until today this page gave the 2025 winners with their times. They have been removed, because there is no classification we can open and show: the results page the platform itself links from the event is empty, and the organiser does not publish results on its own site. Checked on 3 October 2026.
These are people’s names and race times, so either we can point to the source or we do not publish them. If the organiser puts the 2025 classification online, we will link it and bring them back.
What does hold from that edition is the date: it was run on 29 November 2025.
